Advanced Fishing

Pug's Advanced Fishing is a fishing job for FiveM that gives anglers something to work toward. Casting a line earns reputation, reputation unlocks better gear, and better gear reaches rarer fish, so a calm legal income keeps paying off for players who stick with it.

How it plays

A new angler starts with a basic rod and a basic lure. Each catch adds to their fishing reputation, and once it is high enough they craft a stronger rod at the rod bench; the top rods need a second, higher-tier bench. Every rod tier has its own minigame, and the catch table shifts with whichever rod and reel the player is using.

Every so often a tournament opens with a signup window and a new zone on the map. While it runs, a live panel shows the leading three, the player's own points and position, and the minutes left, and the top finishers take home cash and items. Between events, a treasure bottle can surface a map that turns the player toward a buried chest somewhere in the world. Catches go to the fish market and gems to a separate buyer. Two illegal reels open up deep sea fishing, and they wear out with use.

For server owners

• Require a boat for fishing, or leave it optional.
• Rework loot tables, including the separate tournament tables.
• Change minigames and move the tournament zone in the config.

• QBCore or ESX (the legacy ESX 1.1 release will not run it). The build here is 1.4.1, with no Qbox setting
