VMS Documents gives FiveM characters papers to carry and hand over: an ID card, a driving licence, and permits for flying, boating and carrying weapons. Every document has the character's photo on it, so a traffic stop or a door check becomes a scene to play out instead of a line in chat. This is version 1, now superseded by the studio's separate V2.

How it plays

Before a card is issued, the server can send the player to have a photo taken, and charge for it, using an in-game mugshot screen. Once they hold a document, they can show it to people nearby and it appears on the other players' screens. Because displaying a card is one event, it can be fired from an inventory item, a radial menu entry or any other script.

For server owners

  • Require a photo, and a fee, before any document is issued
  • Give each document type its own colour so an ID and a licence look different at a glance
  • Trigger the show event from items, radial menus or any resource
  • Add new document types with the studio's documentation

Before you install

  • ESX or QBCore
  • Photos depend on MugShotBase64
  • You get the final build of Documents v1. VMS went on to publish Documents V2 as its own resource, and v1 gets no more updates
