The Hunting Job from Kevin Scripts gives QBCore servers in FiveM a lawful outdoor job built around a reputation ladder. Players go into set zones, find animals, bring the kill back and sell it. It gives a server something calm to do between busier scenes, with rare finds to aim for. Its release date is August 2022.

How it plays

A hunter walks into a zone and starts looking. Animals bolt if approached too closely, so stalking matters. After a kill, the carcass is carried or dragged out, which works for every animal except the coyote, then sold in a single batch or one at a time.

Which animals turn up, and at what rate, depends on the hunter's reputation, which moves them from the starting odds to better ones. The animals themselves are split into four tiers; hunting the fourth is illegal. On a server that runs a Bigfoot, it becomes a fifth, top tier, appearing on about 5% of spawns.

For server owners

  • Add hunting zones; a command prints the name of the zone you stand in, to paste into the config
  • Lock the job to a specific job role
  • Aim blocking stops the hunting weapon from being pointed at players
  • Tune tiers, spawn rates and sale prices through the config file
